Turn 11: Alan

Alan wants to find a Kellie M or another task, so he skips attacking to draw 2 cards. He gets True Dedication and an Eat Lunch. He enters his Work phase and places work counters on the two tasks, completing the first copy of Design and Build.

In his Play phase, he first exhausts Greg H. and Matthew G. to play True Dedication, attaching it to Matthew G. He is happy because he is one turn away from victory because, next turn, he will be able to use Greg H.'s ability to place a work counter on True Dedication and complete it, resulting in 55 points and the win.

Done playing cards, he scores the completed Design and Build. He refreshes the exhausted characters. True Dedication also places a damage counter on Matthew G. (which cannot be prevented with a discard and Matthew G.'s ability, since placing a damage counter does not count as dealing damage or being damaged). Alan now has 40 points.
