Turn 15: Alan

Alan is a little intimiated by Tim's wall-o-items. He figures Tim can deal 8 damage next turn, and so figures he needs to heal both Greg H. and Matthew G. Noting that the True Dedication task is now worthless, he figures he will retreat Matthew G., meaning his deck is going to be very limited.

As such, he just draws a single card, getting an Eat Lunch. He then places work counters on the tasks, except for True Dedication.

Entering his Play phase, he retreats Matthew G., discarding True Dedication. It costs two discards from the top of his deck, which end up being Matthew K. and Kellie M.

He then exhausts Mark L. to play Eat Lunch, removing the damage from Greg H.

He then realizes that Kellie M. only has 7 HP, and therefore can be killed, so he was pretty doomed regardless. He could not have retreated Kellie M., because that would have left him with one card in his deck. When he drew that card at the beginning of his next turn, he would have immediately lost.

With exactly 7 cards in hand, Alan doesn't need to discard. He also cannot score any tasks, so he just refreshes Mark L. and ends his turn, resigned to a loss.
